SuperValu Contract Ratified by Overwhelming Margin
Updated On: Aug 07, 2017

On Saturday August 5, 2017, Teamsters at SuperValu ratified a 27 month contract, with wages and benefits negotiated out to 36 months.  SuperValu Teamsters including drivers, warehouse, maintenance, and mechanics overwhelmingly approved a new contract that raises wages by $1.55 an hour, keeps Central States Insurance, and puts half of any cost savings on health insurance back on the employees check yearly, while keeping top Pension rates with Central States.   The raises are retroactive back to the previous contracts expiration date.  Employees should be receiving a retroactive pay check within three weeks.  SuperValu announced $161 Million dollars worth of business last week in its quarterly meeting with employees at the Fort Wayne facility.
